Who operates this site

jonahkagen.com is operated by JCK Music LLC, 2300 Charlotte Avenue, Suite 103, Nashville, TN 37203, USA. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean JCK Music LLC.

This website is run independently. Where this site links out to a destination the label or another company operates, such as a pre-save page, a streaming service, or the merch store, that destination is governed by its own privacy policy and not by this one.

What we collect

Information you give us. The only information you can submit on this site is your email address, through the newsletter signup. Giving it to us is entirely your choice.

If you email one of the addresses listed on our Contact page, we receive whatever you put in that message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not ask for or collect your name, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, or payment information anywhere on this site.

How we use it

We use your email address to send you news about Jonah Kagen: new music, tour dates, merch, and occasional updates. That is the only thing we use it for. You can stop receiving those emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every one of them.

We use the automatically collected information to understand how the site is being used, to fix problems, and to make it better.

Who else is involved

We use a small number of service providers, and your information passes through them:

  • Squarespace hosts this website, stores newsletter contacts, and provides built-in site analytics.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit) stores our mailing list and sends our emails. Newsletter signups collected on this site are synced to Mailchimp.
  • Google Analytics helps us understand site traffic.
  • Seated powers the tour date listings on our Tour page.

Each of these companies processes information under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Cookies

Squarespace and Google Analytics set cookies to keep the site working and to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where our providers support them.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained on our providers' standard schedules.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, and you can ask us to delete your email address entirely by writing to us at the address below.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request that we delete or correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, and the right to receive a copy of it. You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Our service providers are based in the United States, so your data is transferred there and stored there.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and our service providers maintain their own security measures. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
